Here’s a copy of Pastor John’s recent emails to the church, in case you missed them!
Hello Church!
Couple of important announcements: First, we will be going back to one service (10:45) through at least January 3. And we will continue to live stream on Facebook.
Secondly, I want to remind you all to consider giving a gift to the children of Pastor Richard Smith’s church in Philadelphia. We have a long standing relationship with Pastor Smith. We’re hoping to give $25 gift cards for at least 50 kids. There are several ways that you can give: Purchase $25 Walmart or Target gift certificates and bring them to church by Sunday December 20 or write a check to CSCC designated for Christmas fund, or go online at the link and select Christmas under the Campaign menu. https://www.csccag.org/give-online
Thirdly, please respond to let me know how you will participate in the Christmas Even Service.

The snowflakes falling outside mean Christmas Eve at Chester Springs is drawing near. Our candle lighting service is one of most beautiful and meaningful services of the year. This year will be no exception, no matter what.
2020 has made gathering all together as a body very rare, if not impossible. So, we are creating a special way to catch up in celebration this year.
Our church family is made of people with a diverse depth and range of backgrounds, experiences and even physical locations, joined by our unfailing love of Christ. There is no other church body quite like ours and we are thankful to have been called to Chester Springs. We are going to gather for a virtual service and need everyone to participate.
There are 3 ways to participate:
Record a Reading: Be one of the readers for the Christmas passages. They are two to three minute readings. We need readers of all ages from 7 to 100 years old. You can record these in your home or at an arranged time at the church, including after service on one of the next two Sundays. Your voice is our most precious gift to each other, and we are looking for a minimum of 20 volunteers for readings—so this means you. Even if you have never done this before. Especially if you have never done this before.
Record a Short Greeting: Hold a candle in front of your Christmas Tree, Nativity or favorite background and record yourself saying (or signing) this year’s theme, “His life gave light to me.” And throw in a “Merry Christmas!” Then send it to office@csccag.org.
Send us your Christmas Photo: Send a Christmas photo of your family to office@csccag.org
We want to be certain no family or individual is left out. Not in the mood to celebrate? We get it, but you’re invited too. This will be an extra special record of a difficult year, and we want everyone to join together as the church. Right where you are. No judgement. Take your place in our church family and be blessed this year.
The pandemic may have changed how we gather, but it cannot separate any of us from the love of Christ and the joy in celebrating the birth of our Savior.
You can do any one of the above or all three. Please respond YES with your commitment to join this special presentation let us know how you plan to participate and we will follow up with specific instructions.
Grace and Peace,
Pastor John
